Too Much Chocolate Interviews Alec Soth

Strangely this has elicited some sarcastic and biting comments on A Photo Editor about Alec and his views, particularly his comment that “photography was much more interesting 50 plus years ago”. Some real venom. I find this particularly odd and sad because I think Alec has been particularly transparent about his thinking, his journey of growth as a photographer, his ways of working. I think this interview is a glimpse of the effects of sudden (not overnight) success and how an artist struggles with that through time.
